Hi, I’m Cindee Tan—a multidisciplinary creative based in Singapore, with a passion for blending art, design, and sensory craftsmanship. My journey began in jewellery design, and over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation in graphic design and the printing industry. These experiences have shaped my eye for detail and design, allowing me to infuse both precision and artistry into everything I create.
In 2022, I found myself drawn to the world of artisan candle design. What began as a creative curiosity quickly became a meaningful part of my practice. I started developing custom wax blends and techniques tailored to Singapore’s hot and humid weather—ensuring that every candle I make is not only beautiful but also built to last. For me, candles are more than just décor—they’re an experience that connects scent, color, emotion, and design.
To share what I’ve learned, I host certified Korean Candle Master Courses from my home studio—a cozy yet fully equipped space tailored for serious candle artisanship. I keep class sizes small so each student receives personalized guidance, whether they’re beginners or seasoned makers. As high-quality raw materials are limited locally, I source premium waxes, dyes, wicks and molds from trusted suppliers offering materials from Korea, Japan, and the USA. These are the same materials I use in my own work, and I’m always happy to share my resources and tips with my students.
In each session, we explore formulation techniques, custom color blending skills, and the art of crafting candles with intention and care. My goal is not only to teach the craft but to create an experience that’s both relaxing and inspiring.
I believe creativity thrives when it’s nurtured with both knowledge and passion. Through these courses and my own candle creations, I hope to encourage others to slow down, explore their creativity, and discover the joy of making something truly their own.
Creativity isn’t about perfection—it’s about that spark of curiosity. Whether I’m designing or teaching, I want to leave people feeling inspired to find beauty in their own way. After all, the best art doesn’t just sit on a shelf—it makes you feel something.
